Iotics (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, “we”, “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and collecting only the minimum amount of information needed for the App functioning and services provision (collectively referred to as the “Services”). This Privacy Policy is a legally binding agreement between you (hereinafter referred to as “user”, “you,” or “your”) and the Company.

1. Personal Information Collection and Use

While accessing our App or using our Service, we collect no personal data. We do not store personal information on our servers. Everything you do is saved on-device and to your local server. We do not have access to your personal data.

You might voluntarily share with us your personal information while submitting customer requests or questions through our Website’s “Get in touch” form. This form enables you to submit general inquiries or questions about our App and Services. When you make an inquiry, we collect and process your contact data (such as your name and email address), as well as any other personal data that is relevant to your inquiry. We use this information to handle your request and respond to your inquiry.

Because we do not collect information about your online activities and behavior, there is no need for us to respond to Do Not Track signals, although we strongly support a consumer’s right to set such preferences and encourage all mobile operators to honor this user’s right.

We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with applicable laws or protect our rights.

2. Home Assistant OS

The App works as a Home Assistant Add-on and allows its users to connect with their accounts on Home Assistant OS, provided by Open Source Home Assistant Platform.

To sign into the App, you need your Home Assistant credentials to get into the system. All the communication to your Home Assistant, such as sending the tracker location or triggering actions, is carried out on your local server. 

3. Third-party Service Providers

The App uses third-party service providers that may collect identifiable and non-identifiable information about you. Your personal information is subject to their respective privacy policies. We use third-party service providers to perform the following functions:

• Facilitate our Services;
• Perform Service-related services (such as web hosting services, handling payments, cloud messaging, and email services within the App, etc.).

We encourage you to become familiar with the privacy practices of every third-party service provider we use within the App. If you have any questions about their respective privacy notices, please contact each service provider directly. 

Users are requested to provide their payment details and other personal information directly to payment service providers. We are not involved in the collection and processing of such information. We might only receive a notification from the relevant payment service provider as to whether payment has been successfully completed.

4. Security Practices

We value your trust in sharing your personal information with us. We strive to protect your personal data by using commercially reasonable means of protecting it. Please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable. Herewith, you agree and acknowledge that (i) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (ii) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you within the App cannot be guaranteed; and (iii) any such information and data may be viewed or intervened in transit by a third party.

5. Retention and Deletion of Personal Information

Personal information we might store about you is limited to your name and email address which is used for responding to your questions and inquiries. This information is used only as you would expect and deleted upon your request. We remove your personal information from our records within 10 (ten) business days of your request to do so.

You can request the deletion of your personal information by using our contact web form “Get in Touch” on the Website or contacting us at support@iotics.live.

6. Third-party Links

The App may contain links to other apps or websites. Please note that these external websites and/or apps are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the privacy policies of such apps and websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party service providers.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are under 18, please do not submit any personal information. In the case we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us. We will delete such information from our files as soon as possible.

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy with or without notice to you. Thus, you are advised to review this Privacy Policy from time to time for any changes.
